The craft
What is Venetian plaster?
An ancient wall finish with roots in Roman times, perfected by the craftsmen of Renaissance Venice. It’s made from natural lime and crushed marble.
It’s applied by hand with a steel trowel, in thin layer after thin layer, then polished until the wall has real depth and movement, like stone with light moving through it.

Why you rarely see it
It can’t be sprayed or rolled on. Every wall is built up by hand, and getting it right takes years of practice. That’s why it’s usually found in luxury hotels, boutiques and high-end homes.
